FEATURED PHOTOGRAPHER: Patricia Jollimore
For August, North Beach Artists’ Guild is featuring photographer Patricia Jollimore, who most recently contributed photos of the Fourth of July fireworks and Wearable Art Fashion Show to the North Coast News. Her art will be on display at The Gallery Of Ocean Shores at 849 Point Brown Ave. NW.
Born in Camden, London England and raised in England, Scotland, Canada and the U.S., Jollimore is a full-time resident of Ocean Shores. Growing up, she was always involved in animal rescue, specifically with dogs, and still is today.
Her roots in photography started while living in Austin, Texas and bloomed when she relocated to Washington. Since moving to Ocean Shores, her primary focus has been seascapes and beach wildlife.
While living in Seattle, Patricia was among the selected photographers for “Dislocation Photography,” a small group of photographers from around the world. The group exhibited various artist venues, and Patricia was a featured photographer at the Pioneer Square Monthly Art Walks in Occidental Park.
Patricia won the Art Association of Ocean Shores’ Poster Contest of 2013. Her snowy owl photograph was AAOS’s poster of 2013. Patricia won second place for two of her photographs in the recent Art and Photography Show in Ocean Shores.
Patricia is a member of Seattle Artists, North Beach Artists’ Guild and the Association of Arts of Ocean Shores. Currently, Patricia is working on photographing a collection of 18th Century Tall Ships.
Meet Patricia and discuss her art at The Gallery on Aug. 17 from noon to 5 p.m. View some of her photographs at her website: www.patricia-jollimore.com.
